​Knox County
Knox County Sheriff’s OfficeFull-Time Patrol Deputy 
The County of Knox is currently accepting applications for one full-time patrol deputy. Applicants must be high school graduates or equivalent, have no criminal record and be in good health. Applicants must have successfully completed the Pre-Service Law Enforcement Training Program and Alert Test of the MCJA, have a working knowledge of criminal, motor vehicle and civil law of the State to be enforced within the County. Applicants will be required to pass a written exam, the standard MCJA physical assessment, an oral board, a polygraph exam, psychological exam, and an extensive criminal and motor vehicle background check. The starting salary range for this position is $17.18 - $20.31/hr based on experience.
 
Application forms, job descriptions, and information on the Patrol Register requirements are available at the County Administrator’s office, located on the ground floor of the Knox County Courthouse, 62 Union St. in Rockland, and are also available on the County’s website: www.knoxcountymaine.gov. Applications with original signatures must be received by the County Administrator’s Office. Faxed or emailed applications will not be accepted. Resumes alone will also not be accepted; you may, however, attach a copy of your resume to your application form. Any required or relevant certifications or training certificates must be submitted with your application.

Penobscot County

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office has immediate openings for part time Corrections Officers. Applicants must be 21 years old, have a high school diploma or GED and meet all criteria listed In the application packet. Applicants must be able to attend eight (8) 40 hour weeks of paid orientation / training.

The part time rate of pay is $11.00 per hour. Applicant packets are available (8am - 4pm ) Mon - Fri at the Sheriff's Office 85 Hammond Street Bangor or online at
